Afro-American Community
This page concentrates on African-American history and culture because it is so special to me and so much a part of my life. My daughter is half African-American. I was with her mother for almost eleven years so I was considered by man to be an "honorary brother". While I felt racial discrimination from time to time having been in an interracial relationship for over a decade, I still was perceived as white when I was not with my ex-wife. So, in comparison to our historical predecessors, what she and I had to endure was nothing. Racism is the only reason why the United States will never achieve the socialist ideals of our European sister states. I am not a strict socialist, but I know what works. Paris is a good example of a jurisdiction that tries not to feed on racism to further fallacious political gain.
Interestingly I came across this story about slavery in the United States by someone with the same name as my late father. I couldn't resist but to link to it here: William Hayden. African-American Cultural Links: See my Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. page and Kwanzaa page! NEW! www.juneteenth.com
