Last Updated 25-Mar-03 -- There are many "blog-like" articles on various aspects of my life with accompanying pictures on this web site, but this page is dedicated to those portions of my site which have more to do with the textual content of the site.  This is by no means a thorough list of all the original writing I have done on this site and everything written on my site is original unless I state otherwise, including some of my favorite quotes scattered throughout as I love dishpan one-liners.

I also love the "blog" word.  I was not familiar with the etymology of this new word, but I believed it probably came from "blotter" and "log" (as in a log that one writes down).  It is an easy way to describe self-publication of writing of any length.  A friend in Chicago, however, pointed out that he had read an Entertainment Weekly article in 2002 explaining that the word "blog" is actually derived from the words "web" and "log".  I think that makes more sense because no one really uses the word "blotter" and it would be redundant to say blotter and log.

The writings linked on my blog pages go back to when I was a teenager, well before the publication of a personal web page was even fathomable.  Some of these blogs have some off-color content, so be warned, but the public blogs are all family-friendly I would argue, so long as family's understand that there are gay people in the world.  Many of my public and non-public blogs have nothing to do with gay culture, though.  Most of these blogs are non-fiction or fictionalizations; some are just postings I made to various listservs, responsive or otherwise; some are media articles; some are just ramblings and reflections like what I put in my private journal.  Someday I may actually consider a hard copy publication of my writing which may include much of this content and my private blogs.  Make me an offer!  When I'm dead, you'll all finally realize I'm a genius!  Remember that "the truth is stranger than fiction."

I post my blogs by subject, rather than date, so that I can organize my thoughts and hopefully not waste anyone's time, as time is a terrible thing to waste.
