 This is my spiritual
sister, Jan Marble-Feinberg, philosopher and poet extraordinaire, not to mention capable mother of Emmet and Jacob (with Alexandra to the right), court stenographer and
matriarch-to-be. Here we were at our ten-year high school
reunion in Union City, California on October 19, 1996. In one of these
pictures Jan is trying to make me look tall, but she really towers over me .
She now lives with her two kids and her husband, Michael Feinberg, who was
also one of my best friends in high school. Here is a poem Jan wrote
for me in high school, which I cherish. |

Duane Macbeth, RN, Hawaii | Indiana transplant. Duane has been an inspiration for me in that, even though I would never want to live in Hawaii, like me, he moved to where he wanted to be against all odds and he is making it work. We have been steady cyber pen-pals for a while now and it's nice to know that I've got a friend in the state where my father grew up. |
