Michael Strefeler |
Michael is a guy who I met online and instantly clicked with. He came down to New York to spend the weekend with me almost on a dare, but what a great time we had. Mike is someone who appreciates the City, even though he lives in a different world -- Rochester! We had a grand time seeing the city in August of 1997 running ourselves ragged. This picture was taken in the new extension of greenery between Battery Park and Battery Park City, which was like a hidden oasis behind the busy West Side Highway. Even though he's lived in New York State his whole life, his trip to see me was his first time ever seeing the sights of New York City. The trip was memorable for both of us. He's a doll! |

 Trina and Jim Smith
are here. Trina and I have been penpals for many many years. In fact, Trina and I were Rudolph and Santa in Miss Coin's
first grade class in Hayward, California! I later moved to
Spain, then NYC, and
then back to the Bay Area. There, Trina and I encountered each other by mere
happenstance (I became friends with her younger brother first and then we figured out who
we were). Shortly there after, she, her brother and her mother moved to Pensacola,
Florida. Later, I moved to NYC and SHE and her husband moved to Texas, where they
had Meghan. In all these moves we've kept in touch and visited. I feel like
she is one of the most dependable friends I have. I was SO happy when she finally
got pregnant. As you can see, Jim and her created a gorgeous bundle of love... |
