Plays
-
Jekyll & Hyde
-- I saw this play twice.
Linda Eder is amazing and was my primary reason for seeing it.
Why she did not get top billing for stealing the show is beyond me.
The male leads I understand were wonderful but Linda is a rare gem.
-
Miss Saigon - Wonderful. I couldn't help by cry forcefully
afterwards.
-
Les
Miserables -- I saw this twice and it was wonderful, especially
for a Francophile
like me.
-
Grand Hotel -- Hated it. Smoking on stage was a very bad
idea, especially when you are sitting near the front.
-
Phantom of the Opera -- I was expecting to love it but it was a
great disappointment after seeing Les Miserables.
-
Rent -- I have not seen the play but the soundtrack has at least
one incredible song.
-
The
Life -- I have not seen the play but the soundtrack has
Sam
Harris and
Lillias White, among others who sing the great score.
This list will be
supplemented as I've seen many other off-Broadway plays, many of them
gay-themed. |
