After having a very productive meeting with the contractor during which I made many final choices for the house under renovation, I continued to have a very productive day, which included getting paperwork from the county confirming the end to my marital status from a previous relationship of ten years and confirming that the house is now legally in just my name, as was agreed with my ex who was very reasonable in the end. Thank goodness I was well-prepared for all three stops, and all these transactions went smoothly. We even had time to go to a showroom and geek out over fixtures. The first three stops were within a mile of each other, and there were no lines or significant complications.
Let’s say a subchapter of my life occurred that day, and Shea was there for all of it, especially the showroom, since he was trying to get me to go there for months, and I dragged my feet. He’s much more of a nerd for that stuff than I am, but it was nice to touch and fall “in love” with some of the designs.
