Geeking out over my SOLAR-panel spinners so this happens every afternoon now without batteries or remote controls.

Benicia Town Hall on Vaping
After the excellent presentation from youth activists, I joined a subsequent panel discussion, which included:
- A few of the high school students
- Benicia school principals, administrators
- Trustees of the Benicia Unified School District
- Representatives from Solano County of Education (SCOE)
- Tobacco Free Solano (TFS) colleagues with Vibesolano/Solano County Department of Health
We addressed some successes and some warnings of the future with vaping among youth, particularly in Solano County.

Home Office Update
Yes, I’m a nerd. I rearranged my monitors again to make myself more productive and maximize the screen real estate with a lower footprint and less stress on my neck. Organizing screens, including two for work, and situating two webcams, which are increasingly important to be looking into when I’m speaking on camera is paramount. Maneuvering around while watching the news and various screen savers is important for my sanity. Meanwhile, I try to maintain plenty of room off-screen for the dogs to rest and (quietly, let’s hope) attend my meetings with me.
Glen Cove Community Association Announcement Board Installed
It’s nice to have a way to communicate for people going to shop in our shopping center with an announcement board that one of our board members is maintaining. The cost was nominal for GCCA. I think it adds a touch of class.

November 2023 Vallejo Art Walk
We had a lovely evening with friends during the Art Walk and related events like Open Studio this week. Shando and I were actually at the Vallejo Museum for a Town Hall last night (Thursday). However, tonight we met up with some wonderful friends at the Mare Island Tap Room in the Vallejo Verry Building. Afterwards most of us walked through the streets and checked out stunning works, including tables with homegrown artists, which included a 14-year-old illustrator who is amazing. I hope to see more from her in the future.
During dinner, Antonio (in the foreground) was approached by a meandering patron who asked where all of our spouses were. Antonio was happy to reveal that we were ALL there.
Here’s some art from the Vallejo Museum that blew my mind:
