Famous Vallejo Xmas House

The Glen Cove Community Association, for which I am president elect, donated for the cost of electricity to the Taylor family who has been putting on this showcase of a very illuminated xmas house in Vallejo that can be seen from I-780. It is a tribute to his daughter, who died in a plane crash and who loved the xmas season. It’s a lot of work putting this together. Santa visits and the nearby Fire Station gets involved in the festivities as well. Some of the members of the GCCA Board of Directors came with their families on this night to share in the joy.

Dog Licking Circle

A very quiet pre-xmas moment of relaxation with a bunch of dogs we were dog-sitting and our own dogs. The elder and small dogs were mostly chilling in the pen while the others with high energy ran around and lounged in various parts of the house.

Cappy and Jonah had a special bond and played together a lot.

Anticipating Halloween

We went to a few Halloween parties the weekend before (I’m all for the proposed legislation to move it to the last Saturday of every October). It happened to be the night one of the party locations required a power shutoff to avoid possible fires because of PG&E’s negligence and greed over the years. We still managed to have fun because this power outage was at least anticipated.

OPERA HOUSE on New Year’s Eve

Our friends Mark and John got us concert tickets (unfortunately they weren’t around when we took these photos). Because of them, we saw a wonderful show with some great drag performers in downtown San Francisco. We then ran into some other good friends at the Lone Star Saloon in SOMA.
