Lost Dog Comes to Front Porch

We started taking pictures and video to post online about this lost dog that came up to our front screen door and drove our dogs crazy.  This was after hours so we couldn’t have taken her to the vet to scan any microchip and we didn’t want to take her to the shelter overnight, which we did once when we found a large dog on a busy street.  Fortunately within a few minutes Shando spotted the mother and her son driving by slowly looking for Buddy so we were able to return him to his loving family.

Backyard and Garden Update

Today makes two years since Mom died.  I think she would have been very happy that a lot of her plants and clippings are thriving in my backyard, some of them in the very ceramic holders that she created in her own kiln.

Cristobal and Mike visit Monte Rio

We took a side trip to Bodega and Bodega Bay, having to go the long way because of a LIVE BOMB that was attached to the main bridge in Monte Rio, right down the hill from where we were staying.

Monte Rio Cabin

Cabin in Monte Rio, California where we stayed for almost two weeks to visit Joe’s 50th birthday.  The dogs loved venturing around the property with the banana slugs, but we also took a lot of side trips with and without the dogs to nearby Guerneville, Jenner, Bodega Bay, etc.  Strangely there was even a live bomb found on the main bridge on one of the last days we were in town, but I don’t think they ever found the person who left it.
