Kitty Tea and Me

Shea and I were so glad to participate in an Afternoon High Tea for the Humane Society of the North Bay at the Vallejo Museum in support of cats and kittens at our shelter, which many know I’m on the board of. We were so busy that I barely had time to take any pictures, so I hope there are a lot more to come. It was sold out and a lot of fun.

Rollers and Rowers

Starboard rollers give you an idea of how stable these whaleboats are. The tug boat in the distance caused these waves, but we’ve handled far bigger ones without issue. Usually we’re rowing through them so there’s no chance to film it unless I had my GoPro on.

March 2025 VGN Game Night

Vallejo Gay Network had a game night, which was a lot of fun. Thanks for hosting Seraphim and Eric! These pictures don’t capture all the crowds in every room and outside that eventually showed up, but it was a big success.

Shelter Volunteers Visit Fosters

Super volunteers Mei and Adrienne came to visit some of our foster dogs who are going to Muttville next week. Iris, Miller and Lilibet will all be going to San Francisco and will find new homes within a week or so based on their incredible adoption rates.

Foster Iris Joins Us Temporarily

I know, I know. Five fosters from HSNB.org in addition to our two is a LOT, but I promise it’s only for a few days. Three of them are already approved for transfer to Muttville on Tuesday. Iris joined us yesterday so she gets a break from the shelter and she’s getting along very well with the other six dogs in the house for a long weekend.

Calvin goes to Cuddle Club Solo

Linda took our foster dog Calvin to HSNB’s Cuddle Club last week and he was wonderful, although a little surprised to be separated from his littermate Hobbes for even an hour or so. I’m glad he was able to bring some joy. Calvin and Hobbes are still available for adoption and are a wonderful bonded pair for anyone interested through HSNB.org.
