Shando didn’t want to bring the dachshunds up the steps, but the views were breathtaking on this gorgeous day. I don’t think I had been to this particular spot at the Coyote Hills Park in Fremont since the 1980’s.

Hayward/East Bay Murals and Street Art
The East Bay has gotten a ton more murals since I lived here as a kid, but here are two of my favorites. Very Hollywood and Xanadu-like, right? The other picture is an art piece where the last working drive-in for the state of California existed, but which is now a group of stores, including a Walmart. This piece is near the Comcast shop.

Computer History Museum & Baylands Nature Preserve
For my daughter’s 23rd birthday, she wanted to go to the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, where we saw some amazing exhibits, took a tour with a docent. We were allowed to photograph her in a self-driving car. Later, in Palo Alto, we went to the Baylands Nature Preserve, which I had not visited since 2007.
