I was invited to attend an in-person Contra Costa County Health meeting, which was only a short distance over the bridge from my home. I spoke about the End Game Summit I attended in Chicago recently. We also celebrated the recent Tobacco Retail License passing in Brentwood, which I spoke to City Council about remotely the day I flew back from Chicago. One of the attendees thanked me specifically for mentioning right after a paid lawyer for the tobacco retailers spoke that I was there as a lawyer who was NOT being paid. With LGBTQ Minus Tobacco, we have a coalition also making strides in Pleasant Hill, where I worked for six years.
