Foster Miller Urgent Groom

I heard about two senior dogs at our HSNB shelter that could use some home time, including one that desperately needed grooming. The soonest Miller could be groomed was three days away, so I offered to at least do that. Having recently transferred one foster to Muttville and with another foster adopted out recently, we decided to meet Miller and Lilibet today to at least give them a break from the shelter. “Lily” is even more senior than Miller.

These are before, during, and after pictures of Miller, the most matted dog I’ve ever groomed. Shea was super helpful and was in charge of the bath with his homemade soap!

First Grooming of 2025

Snoopy and Bonnie’s “before” pictures:

Bonnie and Snoopy had the first grooming of the year! The first picture is Bonnie before the grooming. I have some clean-up on Bonnie’s ears and Snoopy’s tail to do, but it wasn’t bad for doing it with some time pressure.

Before and After Grooming

Rental backyard with Bonnie and Snoopy before their baths and grooming on November 9.

Before baths and grooming:

Shea gave the dogs baths with his homemade soap! After drying them off and blow-drying them, I groomed them and clipped Bonnie’s long nails. She is so patient with all of that. Snoopy not so much! Now it’s time to put their dog sweaters on for the brisk mornings.

Pictures Shea took of me with the dogs after their cuts (with and without yawning):

A touch up and combing makes a big difference too!

Grooming Former Fosters

These father and son dogs (who I named Peanut and Zorro) are with my friend Jeannette. They are technically survivors of the fire as well since they were fosters that she took in just days before the fire, and they were the ones I was helping her with when I was out of the house that morning.
