January 2025 Vallejo Gay Network Potluck

Shea still was under the weather, but I attended a great VGN potluck at Lou’s house again. The turnout was incredible despite the brisk weather, but we’re still very lucky to have this incredible climate with many hints of Spring in the air already (seriously). There are lots of trees in full bloom. No polar vortex here!

Vallejo Mayor Andrea Sorce

We attended my friend Andrea Sorce’s Victory & Swearing In Celebration at the Vallejo Museum with a great crowd looking forward to the many new leaders of this area, including a new county supervisor, new state senator, and several new city councilmembers.

Vallejo Gay Network Holiday Party 2024

Thanks to the fabulous Mark Kliem for hosting! After being deputized as the official photographer of the VGN holiday party, here are the results! Seeing people from various Bay Area counties like San Francisco, Marin, Alameda, Contra Costa and other parts of Solano County like Vacaville and Fairfield was wonderful. Our Vallejo Gay Network community and its allies have been a wonderful focal point for me since making the wise decision to move here.

Vallejo Capitol Mosaic Stairs

While walking around the Vallejo Victorian Home Tour we had to take our obligatory shot in front of the Capitol Stairs Mosaic downtown, which is beautifully maintained with its adjacent gardens. It’s a sight to behold and a very cool feature of Vallejo that reminds me of some areas of Rome.

Tehra’s New Terra

Attended my tobacco control activist friend Tehra’s housewarming. What a cool home in Vallejo from 1915 with a huge backyard with lots of features and amazing plants. She’s a cool lady (pictures with her thumb up in one of the pictures) and a great public speaker with a story to tell about Big Tobacco and its targeting of the LGBTQ population.

Strolls to the Trolls

We had a nice stroll to see the trolls under the bridge along the water with the dogs in downtown Vallejo. We then stopped by the Ferry Building for a snack and drink and watched the sunset over the water and Mare Island.

Shea took a close-up video of a rig under Highway 37 on Napa River:

Vallejo Candidate Forum hosted by Glen Cove Community Association

As president of the Glen Cove Community Association, I had the honor of emceeing the Vallejo City Council District 3 and mayoral candidates forum tonight. Thank you to the participants, the rest of my Board including Christine who professionally kept the time, and Shea for taking the footage which streamed live.
