Halloween Night on a Friday
Halloween night was anticlimactic this year after a few weeks of Halloween parties. We had a wonderful dinner at Provisions, although the meal was limited in choice and offered fewer vegetarian options. I had room for dessert, so I got a peanut butter chocolate bar that was homemade with what appeared to be an Oreo crust on the bottom. They had bread pudding, but it was SAVORY tomato basil, so I tried that too. It was a little dry, but I took it home and can put some balsamic on it. After dinner we stopped by the Townhouse for a drink and then had a coffee and chat at the home of dear friends Steve and Greg.

End of October Renovation Update
Some of the sockets and light switches have been installed in the house. I picked out the color for the back decks. The gazebo in the side yard to go over the hot tub was rebuilt. They caulked the siding on the house, although the front of the house still lacks some siding and needs the front door installed. I’m still waiting for floors, kitchen build, and bathroom builds. Whether the back decks are built before I move in is not critical.
I also manually pruned the tree/bush that keeps growing into the windmill.

Autumn Glen Cove Community Association Meeting
Here are some photos of the fancy new and terrain versatile fire truck for Glen Cove’s Fire Station #26 that Glen Cove Community Association worked hard to make sure was reopened several years ago. I wasn’t able to get out of the meeting last night myself to see the truck, so I appreciate our Board Secretary, Pat, for taking these when they brought it to Glen Cove Elementary, where we hold our community meetings every Spring and Autumn.
